Every year we say that, well, it is like this now, and that this year was
something to be rid of. Everybody I know seems to say this. I agree that
it is like this now, and that we are all in it together -- well, whatever it
is. I don't agree that the past is always better, though: actually, I have
it as a core belief that the future is something that is worth waiting for.
But here we are right now. There was a lot of it for us in 2023 -- and part
of it was that there was a lot of good new music in the past year-ish! And
a lot that I rediscovered. And, I'm sure, a lot still to come.
We are here in this. This is all happening right now: a whopping hour and a
half of it. The mix is too much, but so is all of it, so we may as well
listen to it together.
